Spring 2004 Candidates Welcome, potential members, to your online resource for all of your candidacy needs! Below you will find a link to the candidacy packet which you should have received from the officers. Check back here the first week in February to receive the first Question of the Week to complete your questionnaire. Question of the Week for the week of February 9th: Who was the eminent engineer inducted into the NY Xi Chapter during the Fall 2003 ceremony? Where is he currently the professor of engineering and history, and what are the names of at least two books he has written? (hint: google.com might be of use) Question of the Week for the week of February 16th: What are the names of the four District 2 Directors? (first names are acceptable) Question of the Week for the week of February 23rd: True or False, the three current civil engineering graduate assistants -- Douglas Mastropietro, Thomas Mortko and Salvatore Perfetto -- were all members of NY Xi. If true, list the year(s) in which they graduated. Question of the Week for the week of March 1st: There are 15 active chapters of Tau Beta Pi in New York State, but how many of those chapters are located in New York City? Candidate Packet (Microsoft Word Document)Important Dates: Wednesday, February 18: Candidate Interviews with Current Officers. Don't forget to bring a copy of your resume! Where: LEO 214 Friday, February 19 and Thursday, March 4: Bent Polishing Sessions (attend one). A little bit of elbow grease goes a long way in projecting a good image! Thursday, March 11: Candidate Packet Due. All required materials must be left with the secretaries in the Civil or Mechanical Departments no later than 4:30pm. Friday, March 26: Electee Meeting. If you have satisfied all candidate requirements and have been elected to membership, don't forget to attend this important meeting to accept your election and to find out about the initiation ceremony! Friday, April 30: Initiation Ceremony. After all of the hard work you've put into proving yourself worthy, it's time to celebrate and to become a true Tau Bate! |
